This used to be primarily a fannish journal, but it now includes a lot of posts about cooking and baking, a little politics, and so on as well as discussion of things I'm reading and watching. My current interests include Hannibal, The Good Place, The Great British Bake Off, and the Australian comedy trio the Doug Anthony Allstars; I have a long-standing obsession with the First and Second World Wars and especially the POW experience. There are way too many other ongoing and past fandoms to list, but the tags should help you find things I've posted a lot about.

I haven't written fanfiction in a while but hope to start again; most of my stories are m/m slash, with some gen.

As for me, I'm a gay transgender man, an ex-academic who has somewhat unwillingly rejoined the working class, an atheist but not an anti-theist, more or less a leftist, a devoted but not uncritical Anglophile, fat, bookish, occasionally gloomy. My username, if you were wondering, comes from a nickname given to the playwright Christopher Marlowe. He was notoriously sharp-tongued and ill-tempered, so his (few) friends called him "kind Kit."

If you like my posts, please feel free to subscribe to my journal--there's no need to ask first. All of my stories are posted publicly, unlocked, and so is almost everything but boring personal stuff.
