Title: Death and the Soldier
Fandom: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (film)
Pairing: Jacques Celliers/Yonoi
Rating: Teen
Word count: 500
Kink: Possession/Marking
Content Notes: Major canonical character death. No other standard Kink Bingo content notes apply.
Summary: Jack Celliers dreams of Yonoi.
Notes: This will be cross-posted to AO3 as soon as the damn autocomplete starts working again.

Title: Shoes For His Feet
Fandom: Lord Peter Wimsey
Pairing: Bunter/Peter UST
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 4757
Kink: Foot/Shoe fetish; also a lot of service kink as a bonus.
Content Notes: No standard Kink Bingo notes apply.
Summary: In 1919, Bunter takes up the position of valet to Lord Peter Wimsey, and finds his master so traumatized that he can't even put on a pair of shoes.
Notes: Writing this, I began to think that the reason there's not more fic from Bunter's POV is that it makes the writer decide what Bunter calls Lord Peter in his thoughts. I've used several different names/titles as seemed appropriate. (This is the second fic I've written in which a character is mostly thought of as "his lordship" by someone who's in love with him. I find that kind of hilarious.) Also, Sayers is not consistent about Bunter's backstory, especially as regards the war, so I've taken the bits I found useful and ignored the rest.

What do you do when you've got "tentacles" as one of your Kink Bingo squares, but you've decided you want to write all your KB stories in fandoms that relate to the World Wars? You thank your lucky stars for the canonical magic in Rivers of London.

Title: All Parts There Made One Prisoner
Fandom: Rivers of London
Pairing: Thomas Nightingale/OMC
Rating: Explicit
Word count: 1871
Kink: Tentacles
Content Notes: No standard notes apply. The kink is risky in the context of the story universe, but fully consensual.
Summary: Fear won't make Thomas refuse this.
Notes: I have not yet read Broken Homes, the latest RoL novel, so this story might contradict Nightingale backstory included there. I've reused Desmond Tolhurst, my OMC from Ghosts of Ettersberg, although this story can be read without having read "Ghosts." The title comes from Robert Herrick's The Vine, the earliest example of tentacle kink I know of (warning if you're going to read the poem: it contains rape fantasy).

Title: Borrowed
Fandom: Foyle's War
Character: Rex Talbot (unrequited Rex Talbot/Andrew Foyle)
Rating: Teen
Word count: 624
Kink: Pervertibles
Content notes: The kink could be seen as nonconsensual; implied (canonical) suicide. No other standard notes apply. Also includes homophobia, both societal and internalized.
Summary: Andrew has three silk scarves. Rex has an obsession.
Notes: I had hoped to write fix-it fic for the end of the relevant episode (2x02, "Among the Few"; this story will make a lot more sense if you know what happens in the episode), but this is not it.

Title: In the Blackout
Fandom: The Charioteer
Pairing: Laurie/Ralph (with mentions of Laurie/Andrew)
Rating: Teen
Word count: 1306
Kink: Scars/Scarification
Content notes: No standard notes apply.
Summary: What do scars matter?
Notes: Set after the end of The Charioteer; my Feelings About Ralph are probably definitely showing. The line Laurie quotes is from Siegfried Sassoon's "Does It Matter?" Because of how much (by my standards) and how fast (by my standards) I'm writing for Kink Bingo, I suspect a lot of the stories are going to end up in dialogue with each other; you may notice echoes of "The Undone Years" and "Occupying Forces" here. Try to think of this as thematic rather than self-plagiarism.

Porn! I haven't written porn in ages! And this story was just meant to be a ficlet, something to post while I work on a longer story for another square in another fandom, but it ended up being (by my standards) fairly substantial.

The thing is, Secret Army is a fandom of one: me. And since I am vain and like people to read my stories, I've written up a little introduction with what you need to know for this story to make sense. You can skip it if you like, and if you would rather watch the relevant episode instead (please do, oh please, at least enough to see the characters interact) it's viewable starting here on YT.

Title: The Undone Years
Fandom: The Regeneration trilogy by Pat Barker
Characters: Siegfried Sassoon(/Wilfred Owen)
Rating: Teen
Word count: 1045
Kink: Writing on the Body
Content Notes: Self-harm (very mild and semi-accidental), canonical character death, really not a happy story
Summary: All that's left of Wilfred Owen is words.
Notes: This is based on Barker's fictionalized version of Sassoon rather than the historical Sassoon; everything in this story is made up without reference to what really happened. Title and quotations in the text come from Wilfred Owen's poems "Strange Meeting" and "Anthem for Doomed Youth."

My goal for the last round of Kink Bingo was a blackout (filling all 25 prompts on my square) in the Colditz fandom. This year, some evil part of my brain gave me the idea that perhaps I could try for a blackout in 25 different fandoms, all of them related in some way to the First or Second World War.

Some brainstorming has given me a preliminary list of 24 fandoms I could possibly write in (22 I'm reasonably happy about, 2 marginal), and I could easily think up some RPF for the remaining prompt if necessary. ETA: I'm up to 25 fandoms now, but suggestions are still welcome!

click here for the list if you're interested )

Since writing fast has never been one of my skills, and lately I haven't been writing at all, I wouldn't bet money on my chances of actually producing 25 stories. But since I badly want to start writing again, and this is a convenient challenge with prompts and everything, I guess I might as well try.

ETA: Still taking fandom suggestions (for one thing, I'm always happy to hear about fandoms I might enjoy) but I've tentatively worked out a plan of which fandom I want to write for each kink. Some of the matches are obvious (Lawrence of Arabia and caning), but if you want to know why I've assigned "foot fetish" to the Wimsey-verse or "dirty talk" to Sherlock Holmes . . . well, I hope all will be revealed in the stories to come. /tease

Just a heads-up for anyone who is interested in [community profile] kink_bingo: the mods have announced that after this round they'll be taking a break in 2014. KB will be on hiatus, with no 2014 round, but the mods plan to resume in 2015.

So, if you've been thinking of participating in Kink Bingo, this is your last chance for a while. Everyone can play this year, even if you previously defaulted and were made ineligible for the next round. Also, this year requesting a card does not commit you to anything--there is no requirement to post a fanwork. All fandoms, all characters, all genders and sexualities and types of pairings (or no pairing at all), and all levels of sexual content are welcome. You can post fanfic, fanart, meta, recs list, icons, picspams, fanmixes, and probably other things I'm forgetting in order to fill a square on your bingo card.

I encourage you to sign up for a card if you're at all interested. Almost all of the kinks are so flexible that you don't have to be very into kink in the traditional sense to write them; I managed a bingo last year with five fics, only one of which was kinky in the conventional sense (and even that one didn't include anything more extreme than gentle spanking). Plus, you can request a card that includes only kinks that can be readily written about a solo character, or a card of only kinks that don't necessarily involve orgasms or sexual penetration, or a solo no-orgasm no-penetration combined card. (Kinks on these cards can also be written with two or more characters, with orgasms, with penetration, but there's nothing in the nature of the kinks that will require that.) The whole kink list for this round is here if you want to check out what you might be getting into. I also recommend looking at the Kink Wiki to see the considerable degree of flexibility that's allowed/encouraged in interpreting the kinks.

Last year I signed up with some trepidation, having defaulted two years earlier, but I ended up enjoying it a lot.

Bingo! My fifth Kink Bingo fic and the last for the official round, although I still want to try for a blackout during the amnesty period.

Title: A Man at War
Fandom: Colditz
Character: Pat Grant
Rating: Teen
Kink: Virginity/celibacy
Word count: 708
Content notes: No standard notes apply
Summary: Pat after Colditz. There's a war on, even in Switzerland.
Notes: I'm assuming that Pat Grant's post-escape military service resembles that of Pat Reid, on whom he was loosely based. Reid stayed in Switzerland, collecting intelligence from escaped POWs for MI6. Like all my Colditz stories, this one is influenced by [livejournal.com profile] halotolerant's stories (read them, they're marvellous!) and by our many Colditz discussions.

Title: Captivity
Fandom: Colditz
Pairing: George/Harry
Rating: Teen
Kink: Roleplay
Word count: 1514
Content Notes: No standard notes apply.
Summary: Imagination, Jane Eyre, and a kind of liberty.
Notes: Set in the autumn of 1944. You can probably read this without having seen Colditz; this post will give some sense of the characters. If you have seen Colditz, I should mention that the exercise park in this story resembles the spacious, hilly one at the historical Colditz more than the tiny litte space shown on the TV show. Finaly, like all my Colditz stories, this owes a lot to [livejournal.com profile] halotolerant and our many, many discussions.

Title: Damned, Elusive
Fandom: Colditz
Pairing: Palmer/OMC
Rating: Mature
Kink: Anonymity
Word count: 975
Content notes: No standard notes apply.
Summary: Palmer meets a man. Twice.
Author's notes: This is set in the late 1930s. You don't need to have seen Colditz; Palmer is a character who only appears in one episode, and you can learn a little more about him (and see a screencap) here if you're curious.

Title: In My Sweet Pain: Five Ways Dick Likes to Be Hurt (Plus One)
Fandom: Colditz
Pairing: Dick Player/Pat Grant
Rating: Explicit
Kink: Painplay (other)
Word Count: 700, plus section numbers
Content Notes: No standard notes apply.
Author's Notes: I owe many thanks to [personal profile] halotolerant for delightful conversations about what Pat and Dick are like between the sheets together. You probably don't need to have seen Colditz to read this, although you might find this primer post helpful in that case. Everything is set during the first few years of Pat and Dick's relationship (as I imagine it) after the war. Title stolen from Petrarch, who made this trope hip over 600 years ago.

The final installment! I'm going to talk about one more pairing, then show you some other characters, all of them series regulars, who probaby won't be central to anything I might write but may get a mention. So far, I've talked about four characters who between them make three pairings, two of which I envision living happily ever after. The next two characters and their relationship . . . not so much.

This installment is not as brief as I meant it to be, because it features my not-so-secret darling character and a pairing that is almost entirely fanonical but which I can make a pictorial case for.

Warning: there are a couple of unavoidable spoilers here, mentioning the fact that certain characters leave the show. I've kept the timing and circumstances as vague as possible.

As the title says, this is not an objective or comprehensive discussion of Colditz. It's an overview of characters and relationships (some extrapolated from canon, some pure invention) that I may be writing about in my Kink Bingo fics: basically I'm envisioning this as a cheat sheet for anyone who wants to read the stories (THANK YOU!) but doesn't want to invest the time to watch 27 one-hour episodes. I'll avoid major plot spoilers, though, in case you decide to give the show a try.

I have an immensely detailed head-canon for these characters, which [livejournal.com profile] halotolerant and I have developed together through our rewatch and tons of discussion. I won't bore you with too much of it but occasionally some will be relevant. And for your viewing pleasure, I've included screencaps and some links to YouTube clips. The clips are of the crap visual quality that you'd expect from YouTube and sometimes the sound and picture are out of synch, but I recommend giving them a look to see how these people speak and relate to each other.

For [community profile] kink_bingo, I'm going to try for an all-Colditz blackout, which is to say 25 fics in the fandom. If all goes well, this means I'll be posting a lot of Colditz fic.

I know most of you are unfamiliar with the fandom, but some of you are kind enough to read my fic even in fandoms you don't know. So I've been thinking about doing a sort of introduction or "cheat" post about the show, so you could learn a bit about the characters etc. without having to watch it. (watch it watch it watch it it is awesome watch it /subliminal)

That kind of thing takes some effort, though, and I don't want to do it if no one is interested. Hence, a poll.
