Oh, I really like these two drabbles, especially the very different kinds of being different and belonging that are shown here. I think that Hank differentiates "works for" and "works at" very strongly - his mind is also a gift, but developed by him, his body could be the same, but with the environment that he's in, he shies away from that. It's not "his".
