Thank you! Within quite narrow limits I think the movie did interesting things with its setting, but it would have been better if it hadn't completely ignored, among other things, racism. Part of me suspects racism was covered over because it would have given even more evidence for Erik's view that humans would inevitably oppress mutants, and of course the nature of the X-Men franchise is that Charles has to be "right."
