From the question-a-day meme:

August 10: Would you rather get away with any lie you told or always know when someone else is lying?

Why on earth would I want to know if someone is lying when they say "I like your haircut" or "It's not you, it's me"? It would be different if I were a journalist or a lawyer or something, where the usefulness could outweigh the social misery. Nope, let my own lies pass unnoticed, thanks. Also, as many of other people's lies as are pleasant and harmless for me to believe.

I'm in absolute agreement here! And in pharmacy, people lie all the time, but it doesn't really matter in terms of my actions, because there's strict regulations to follow and I'd do the same thing whether they're lying or not. The important part is finding a solution.

The always knowing when someone is lying sounds like a curse. I would move into the wilderness and no longer keep human contact.
