uh oh

My coworker, whom I interact with all day, just found out she has COVID.

We both wear masks at work, but I've definitely unmasked in her presence to drink water or whatever.

Of course I'm concerned about her, but also I would very much not like to get COVID.

And for work reasons, I'd very much like us not to both have COVID at the same time.

Fingers crossed for you!

IME if you are both masked at work, even if you take your mask off occasionally to eat or drink, you are unlikely to catch it from a coworker. Everyone at my store who's had it has gotten it from family members (usually kids), and there has been no spread at the workplace.

Yeah, all ours have been spaced far apart, plus there's always a "my kid/other family member was sick" that comes first, so it's clear that they're not catching it at work. It makes me very glad that I don't have school age kids or live with a lot of people (especially people who are less cautious).
