The state of the publishing industry, and who gets published and who does not stop seems very opaque, and when information comes out, it often paints the industry in a worse light than before. Having more queer men writing queer men is a good thing, having them get published and marketed would be even better. (It is happening. I don't have statistics to know how much it is happening, but I suspect if I did, the statement would be "needs way more queer men.")
