not exactly NaNoWriMo

I'm going to a NaNo kickoff gathering at 11:30 tonight, mostly as moral support for my housemate, who's going to do NaNo. I am not doing NaNo but I wanted to do something, so for me November is going to be "Finish Some Stalled WIPs Month."

My first priority is the Tintin story (not stalled, I just want to finish it first). After that, it's:

1) The Charles/Erik XMFC story I just have to finish revising
2) The Hot Fuzz story that's been sitting on my hard drive for at least two years, and which also only needs revising
3) The Sanctuary Henry/Big Guy story, now jossed and AU, which needs finishing and revising

If I finish and post all of those in November, they'll add up to at least 36,000 words, which is not bad.

I hope so. Someday, when I'm not working retail and I have an actual plot idea, I may attempt NaNo. But not this year.

Yeah, I'm doing Na-WiP-WriMo this month, too. I'm actually feeling pretty relaxed about it, which is nice for a change.

Relaxed is good. NaNo does seem like it could be awfully stressful for, well, people like me who tend to stress out over stuff.

That's not a bad resolution, and I look forward to seeing your Hot Fuzz fic. I love that film! I don't know why I haven't ficced or iconed it yet.
