for US TMA fans

Want to order Jonny's forthcoming book Thirteen Storeys when it's released in the UK? Don't want to order from Amazon, but worried about the cost and trouble of international shipping?

The UK bookshop Blackwell's is offering free shipping to the US. My total cost was a little over $19, which is cheaper than US hardcovers. (This makes me wonder about US book pricing, but that's a rant for another time.)

I wish work stuff wouldn't be exhausting and stressful at the same time as the world is incredibly stressful.

(It's sort of mostly my fault, since I'm the one who decided the early November would be the right time to introduce new curbside pickup hours and all kinds of changes. But things beyond my control have also happened, and I do not like it.)

Had a day off today (mostly; I had to check work email a few times). I didn't actually enjoy it, though I did manage a little nap after a broken and unsatisfactory night's sleep. I feel . . . horrible, in a way that doesn't register as horrible until I think about it. When I think about it, I would quite like to have a screaming sobbing meltdown and then collapse in a puddle.

Also I managed to hurt my neck by turning it wrong while lying in bed, and it is quite uncomfortable.

And I seem to have exhausted all the consolation that unhealthy (for me) junk food is likely to bring. Tonight, rather than junk food, I ate South Indian-style rice with yogurt and spices, because nothing else sounded good. And then, admittedly, some red licorice. But, meh.

I would like to feel calm and well-rested. *laughs slightly hysterically*
