The Good:

It has once again been canonically acknowledged that Geordie loves Sidney in the same way Amanda loves Sidney

Mrs. M. is now free to marry the man whom she loves and who loves and respects her

Geordie actually noticed Leonard's distress, and behaved in a way that was both kind and genuine

Amanda finally put her foot down

Gah! Grantchester's always struck me as a series with more potential than performance, if that makes sense. I'm not as far along as you are, but I'm sorry to hear it still hasn't really found its footing. M.

Yup. I loved Geordie's scenes with Amanda and Leonard, and I'm happy for Mrs M and Jack. But I've rarely cringed so much in a mere 45 minutes of telly.
