help me write

I would like to try to write fanfic again, but I need to do it in little bitty chunks, because a big part of why I haven't written in so long is that every idea seemed to turn into a huge complicated project that scared me. So I'm going to start with drabbles or small ficlets, and I'd love prompts for them.

If you feel so inclined, please leave a comment with one or more prompts (a fandom, a character or pairing, and something I can take inspiration from such as a word or phrase, a song or a bit of poetry, a picture, etc. etc.). It doesn't have to be a fandom I've written in before. If you're not sure I know the fandom, you can PM me or just list it anyway. Also, everybody is welcome to leave prompts regardless of how long I've known you or how well. Lurkers/people seeing this on their network can play too!

I don't guarantee that I'll write something for every prompt. I'm trying to make this as easy for myself as possible, so I'm going to cherry-pick the ideas that work best for me for whatever reasons. But I'll be grateful for any and all prompts.

I don't suppose I could ask you for a crossover between Dunkirk and The Charioteer? You'd think it would be a shoo-in with both Laurie and Ralph's backstories, but so far AO3 does not provide. Any choice of characters. If left to myself I would probably do something pointless like introduce Alec to the shivering soldier.

If you feel up to cracky crossovers: John Constantine & Thomas Nightingale, fish and chips. (I guess it's not that cracky - they're in a similar field of work. Just grungier for John.)
