yayness!

Warehouse 13 has just introduced a gay character into its main cast. This is pretty rare for a genre show in the US, where if there are queer characters at all they're usually far in the background. Plus, the show handled it well--the character's gayness wasn't made a big deal of, much less the subject of a Very Special Episode. And he's a good character, not in any way a stereotype, whom I already liked.

Now, let's just hope he's not killed off or otherwise gotten rid of. *fingers crossed*

Of all the genre shows on right now, Warehouse 13 does seem like one of the more likely ones to introduce a gay character as a main character...and yes, it is awesome because he already had instant rapport with the ensemble, Claudia especially.

Yeah, I was pissed for about five minutes last episode because I was afraid Myka wasn't coming back; now I'm totally happy with it.
