trans posts access filter

I'm going to be creating a filter for my (very intermittent) personal posts about my identity as a trans man, the process of self-acceptance, deciding whether/how to transition, etc. If I've granted you locked-post access and you'd like to be on the filter, drop me a comment and I'll add you.

If you don't have locked-post access yet but would like to be on the filter anyway, comment and I will probably add you. I haven't been making personal posts on DW, so there are a lot of people I haven't given access to, but now I do plan on making personal posts here. At this point, my policy will be to grant access (in general and to the trans filter if desired) to anyone who wants it [ETA: so long as I've interacted with you a little, even just exchange comments about fandom or something; OR, if we haven't interacted, you're trans* or genderqueer yourself or close to someone who is] unless I have some reason to think they'll behave badly. That doesn't apply to anyone on DW I can think of.

I keep seeing you on my network which I recently started to get into the habit of reading regularly. I always keep your Doctor Who thoughts on a tab for reading after I watched the ep myself.

I'd love to see your trans-related posts too because I'm selfish and find it comforting to know that there are more out there who struggle like me.

Edit: And that sounds kinda weird since of course me reading your posts doesn't mean you ever even heard of me. I of course meant only if you are okay with that!

I'm interested if you don't mind someone who mostly lurks. I want to be supportive.

Here's the thing: my posts on this filter will be really personal. Any posts I make about trans issues in general will be public; the filter is reserved for stuff that's focused on my own gender identity, my relationship with my body, my sexuality, etc. And I find I'm a bit uncomfortable giving access to someone I haven't interacted with at all. It's not that I have any reason to think you wouldn't be supportive; it's just that I don't know you. The only person I don't know at all who I've added to the filter is someone who is himself trans.

So, for the moment, I don't feel comfortable adding you. If I get to know you a bit in the future, that could change. Or if you have some particular connection to trans or other gender-variance issues that you haven't mentioned, and that's why you want to be on the filter, please let me know (send me a PM if you don't want to talk about it in a public post).

I would very much like to be on that filter, because I find that stuff fascinating and from what I know of you would like to know you better. I do appreciate though that we haven't known each other long and there may be all sorts of reasons you would therefore rather I didn't see those posts, so I will entirely understand if you choose not to. :)

Hi There. I know this is an old post, but I found it today, clicking on your identity from TFV's apology post. I'm male-spectrum genderqueer (aka a really effeminate transman) and would be interested in being on your trans filter. Am also less than a week on DW and still figuring out how these things work in comparison to on lj. I'm assuming I need to add you to my "reading" list as well.
