huh

I'm partway through the second episode of "Terminus," and . . . this is an AIDS allegory, right? I'm not just imagining that?

The date certainly works--1983 was, as I recall, towards the height of the AIDS panic, since the HIV virus wasn't yet confirmed as the cause and nobody knew for sure how the disease spread.

This story is giving me a very unnerving kind of déjà vu.

Have you read Samuel R. Delany's "The Tale of Plagues and Carnivals"? It's in the third Néverÿon book, I think; Flight from Néverÿon.

Funnily enough, the second book is the first Delany I ever read, and still my favorite.
