I vaguely remember that there's supposed to be a secret way to do a Boolean "NOT" search on the AO3, but I can't remember what it is. What I'm trying to do is pull up all the bookverse Sherlock Holmes fics but not anything that's a crossover with Sherlock. Can any of you help me out?

Ha! that annoys me so much too. Also I want to not get omega verse things. I don't know how, though.

I think that you can get rid of those stories by typing "-alpha" in the "other tags" category. I believe AO3 has problems with recognizing special characters. I just tried "-sherlock (tv)" and it no longer showed any results.

Perhaps a "-tv" would help?

That should explain how to use filter ids to filter out specific fandoms. It works using the tag id that any tag that has a rss filter has (not all tags have it, or not all tags have discoverable ones, but fandoms do).
