Brett Ratner, who directed X3: The Last Stand, said in a recent Q&A that "rehearing is for fags."

I think this statement explains a lot about why X3 was . . . the way it was.

Hopefully he won't get his paws anywhere near the XMFC sequel--bad enough it's slated to be written by the guy who wrote X3.

I find it amusing that Eddie Murphy is dumping the Oscars gig because his buddy Ratner was fired due to that comment. It's not like Eddie Murphy has never used the word "faggot" or been undeniably offensive in his comedy. I guess the only thing people remember about all that is that they laughed at it at the time.

On the other hand, I've been rather pleased to see that Ratner is not just some guy who had a big mess of a movie dumped on him, but an actual repulsive asshole. Now I can hate him wholeheartedly!
