quick update
Feb. 21st, 2011 11:36 amA quick update on the financial situation, before I leave for work.
The credit card company has accepted a down payment of $1700 ($1200 that I have now, thanks to you, and a further $500 on the 28th). So I'm now started on a payment plan of $100 a month (or possibly $150 a month--first they told me it'd have to be $150, then they said $100 and I wasn't about to remind them of the higher amount). Provided I make the payments, I won't be sued. And I should be able to make the payments, despite the really bloody inconvenient fact that my hours have just been cut at work (all the part-timers' hours were cut, limited to no more than 25 a week). It'll be tight, but not impossible.
So I want to say thanks again to all of you who've helped out, whether with money, signal-boosting, or your good wishes. The friends and community I've found in fandom are what's kept me going these last two difficult years, and now you've done it again. Thank you.
(By the way, I'll be locking this and my previous financial-problems post in a day or two, because it's more personal information that I want out there in public for long, but I did want to let everyone know how things turned out.)
