If you gave me your address to send you a Christmas card, you may have noticed that you didn't get one. That's because after I bought the cards well in advance and badgered you all for your info, I . . . never actually sent them. Sorry. That time of year is always busier and more stressful than I expect. (My New Year's Resolution, to the extent that I ever make them, is to have a job that is Not Retail by next Christmas.)

I am sick. Again. Second time in less than a month. This time I got a cold which on Thursday night unexpectedly turned into a nasty ear infection that gave me bad pain all the time and, when bending down, the feeling that nails were being pounded into my ear. Yesterday I actually had to go to the doctor. (It was a Saturday and I have no health insurance. Luckily, the clinic where I usually go, which has fairly low fees, has just switched from being closed all weekend to having Saturday walk-in hours.) The doctor was impressed by my sore red eardrums and gave me lots of meds, which did not prevent ( kind of gross )

The other ear doesn't seem like it's going to get as bad. It had only just started hurting yesterday morning right before I went to the doctor, so hopefully the antibiotics got to it in time. Anyway, the upshot of this is that I'm behind on commenting and replying, but I'll try and catch up.

On Friday afternoon, when I had just come in and he was just leaving, the boss said that on Monday he wants to talk to me. This is probably good, right? He didn't say it ominously, and if it's bad the talk would happen right away, right? *worries*
