very, very big sigh of relief
Apr. 27th, 2013 02:48 pmI found out today, at last, that I got the apartment! It's a huge weight off my mind; I've been miserably worried.
I'm looking forward to having a place of my own again. Not that I don't appreciate the generosity of my current housemate, who let me move in when I had no job and didn't ask me for any rent until I had found one. But I am just not good at living with other people. This will be the first time in almost five years that I've been able to live by myself, and it will be nice. I also like the location of the new place. It's near the main commercial street and therefore close to all the stores etc., whereas my current place is on the edge of town and there's not much of anything within walking distance.
*happy relieved sigh*
The only downside to knowing I've got a place is that I can feel the nervous energy that I've been drawing on to get things (e.g. packing, cleaning) done draining away. I want a nap now.
