Silas and Panto! *sobs* I can't believe the show did that to them (and me). Is there anybody left in Wendimoor to save, now?

Even though it would directly contradict the point of S1 (that some things can't be changed), I want all this to be fixed by bringing the boy back. Maybe it can be, because the logic of Wendimoor is literally dream logic. It's not like the real world.

Or maybe the show is going to be even more grim this season. And, you know, I don't think killing Silas and Panto counts as Bury Your Gays because there's been so much other death in Wendimoor, but it still does mean that two out of the show's three canonically queer characters are now dead.

For the final episode, I'm worried for the Rowdy 3, who may end up dead. Worried for Bart ditto. Worried that Ken has sold his soul, but hoping he's actually playing a long game. Extremely worried for Sherlock and Tina, somewhat less so for Farah because she's part of the main cast.

I'm also worried that the show is moving towards Dirk/Amanda romance. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why I think this might be happening, except that Amanda seems inexplicably fond of Dirk (as I recall, they barely interacted in S1) and scenes like the Amanda-Dirk-Todd hug a few episodes ago seem to literally be placing Amanda between Dirk and Todd. I like Amanda and I'm glad she's getting her own arc this season, but Amanda/Dirk is just a no. Do Not Want. Do Not Want so much. If we can't have canonical Dirk/Todd, and we probably can't, and if we're not going to have canonically gay Dirk, which we probably won't, then I would at least like Dirk to continue to be readable as gay, without any onscreen or referred-to het romance to interfere with it. (Please do not say "he could always be bisexual." I would like a canonically GAY male character in a show I enjoy and I don't think this is unreasonable.)

My god, I am so tired of every single show I watch giving me Gay Anxiety. Even shows that have built their reputation on queer inclusivity can't seem to stomach having a gay male lead character; there's always a het romance in there somewhere.
