That's really the worst thing, what a hassle it's all going to be. Well, that and the cost of a replacement car. I doubt I'll get much from insurance. I have savings enough for a decent down payment, but that was my top surgery money. Which means I'll probably have to dip into my retirement savings for the surgery. At least I turn 55 later this year and I can do that without a big tax hit.
