Glad to hear you're feeling better! *sends belated hugs*
As for the chicken livers... Red bean chili or a curry might work?
I'm currently busy myself, so I've lost touch with fandom a little as well, but I'm looking forward to getting my copy of Kim Harrison's latest, Pale Demon, as soon as the paperback comes out. (Stop judging, it's only the covers of her books that are horrid. *g*) I also tried to watch Sanctuary, but it didn't really grab me. I'll probably try again at some point, when I have more free processing space in my head, because there has to be some reason half my f-list got into it. I only watched the first few episodes for now and felt vaguely bored, as well as annoyed with the what's-his-name main character, and angry about the, well, patronising way everyone behaves towards not-quite-humans. Helen seemed interesting, but not enough to make me watch the rest. Oh, well, maybe at some point. :)
