something queer going on

Thanks for the link! It turns out not to be at all the story I expected from the illustration. Two men, divorced by their demanding wives (who are each other's best friends), team up together to write a play and end up living in perfect domestic harmony while their wives can't sustain their own friendship. It is in its way a very queer story, and if I were still an academic it's the sort of thing I'd find culturally interesting, but there's not really any subtext between the men while there is a fuckton of misogyny.

I'm sort of tempted to write the story the illustration ought to have been for.
