I'd heard about the End the Hell campaign, actually, but I got into a bit of a panic over the whole "will die very soon" thing and didn't think. Tim's also about to start teaching one of his comedy-writing classes, just a couple of weeks after returning from the Edinburgh Festival, which would be quite energetic for a man at death's door. I read something today in another review that might be where Regan's misunderstanding came from--apparently at one point in the show Paul delivers a eulogy for Tim, "forgetting" that he isn't dead.
I was prepared to hate the new GBBO, but it works almost as well for me as the old one. I do miss the affectionate joking between Paul and Mary, though; there was a real warmth there.
