The Exorcist 2x09, "Ritual and Repetition"
Dec. 8th, 2017 09:10 pmMost of the episode seemed like bog standard horror movie stuff to me, and as such not interesting. Plus, last season did "now let's torture the family members" much more effectively.
The Tomas sections were the most interesting, though I'm wondering whether the demon--who's been inside Tomas's head all this time--completely misjudging who he is and what he wants now is lazy writing or is an indication that ultimately, demons are stupid creatures who don't have as much psychological sway over humans as they think.
The best part of the episode, though, was that it turned out that Mouse has been looking for Tomas and not for Marcus. This gives me hope that the show isn't going to go in the direction I feared it would. Plus, I like Mouse better now that I don't think she's still pining after the man who abandoned her almost twenty years ago. Her having an agenda that's not about Marcus is a very very good thing.
