kindkitI binged a bunch of episodes today and finished series 1.
First of all, Jonathan is henceforth to be known as "Joe Spooky."
Also: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Also, Joe Spooky needs a hug. As does Martin. I don't know enough about Tim to know if he needs a hug. But no hugs for Elias, whom I do not trust, and definitely no hugs for not!Sasha. (I . . . have been sort of wary of Sasha ever since the first episode where she spoke, because Jonathan was so much nicer to her than he ever is to anyone that it made me fear upcoming Jonathan/Sasha romance. I would like to believe that it's because I disapprove of boss/subordinate romances in fiction (hahahahaha no I don't, not even a little) or because I don't want any romance in the meta-plot, but as soon as Jonathan started being a little nicer to Martin I started to ship them, so it's just that I am still me and I don't like het romance about 99% of the time. Hopefully we will not get Jonathan/not!Sasha romance, because while it might not be technically het--does whatever Sasha is now have gender?--it would be something far more unpleasant, if less conventional.) I do feel sorry for real!Sasha, though.
As for the rest: so many plot threads. There's whoever shot Gertrude, there's whatever is up with the tunnels under the Institute (and are they related to the tunnels under the Reform Club?), there's the weird trees that set things on fire (which must be related to the Scary Building Site), there's the Lucas family and their many nefarious dealings, there's the delivery company that brought the Table of Transdimensional Evil to the Institute (the same company who delivered the coffin thing in an early episode?), there's Michael of course and the possibility of some kind of alliance with the things that may be less scary than the other scary things, there's . . . aaaaaaaaah so many plot threads!
Enjoying this immensely. Hmmm, maybe there's enough time between now and bedtime that I could listen to just the first episode of S2 without being too freaked out to sleep . . .
