OH JON NO. You can't just go around compelling random strangers and not caring about the consequences! (Because you do know the consequences, right, Jon?) This is not good. This is not progress. Learning to love a few people close to you does not make it okay to hurt strangers. That's how monsters love. Try not to be a monster, please.
Also, OH MARTIN NO.
I'm confused by Martin's behavior. It seems inconsistent, as just a couple of episodes ago he was desperately worried about Jon and willing to talk with Daisy about Jon and Basira, and now he's driving her out. I hope that the inconsistency has to do with the proximity of Peter Lukas, and Martin is secretly the world's best spy, keeping his cover story intact with Lukas. Martin is definitely changing--at the end of "Scrutiny" his initial response to Daisy knocking was "Go away"--but I want to believe that he still basically cares about people. And not just Jon.
Martin's dilemma--saving the world at the cost of one's own decency--is usually one of my favorite things in fiction, but oh, it hurts when it's Martin. I want it to be a false dilemma, for there to be a solution we just haven't seen yet, but what if there's not?

Of course, Daisy came back to herself from having been highly incorporated into the Hunt. But that was a pretty extreme remedy, and perhaps not universally applicable. (Though at this point, I think Jon would go into the Buried again for Martin, if he had to.)
