I was still reading and writing fic pretty regularly prior to watching OFMD, but it had been eight years since I stumbled on the last fandom that really fired me up, especially in terms of adoring the source material rather than just wanting to play in the sandbox. It's been nice to feel really fannish again, and to be in good company.
and then a post-credits scene where we see them being hanged for piracy in 1718
Oof, that is diabolical. :D
I'm hoping that enough season 1 things have hit the historical beats to count as giving them a nod and moving in another direction, but I appreciate this fiendish turn of thought.
Speaking of, I'm definitely here for more supernatural horror for OFMD, and I'd love to see whatever you come up with.
And what a great virtual tour of Minneapolis/St. Paul! I've never been, but if I ever get back to travelling to the U.S., the Twin Cities would be on my list. A huge number of my favourite musicians hail from there, and I ended up reading a lot about the area for a fandom where Minneapolis is the thinly veiled "City" that's always mentioned, so it would be cool to visit someday.
I've already played two rounds on this meme, but if you happen to end up with more burning questions than volunteers, feel free to shoot some my way.
