Yesterday's post about my new love for the Doug Anthony All Stars comedy group did not lead to quite the outpouring of enthusiasm I'd hoped. *sniffle*
It occurs to me that, while I included a very slashy clip, it was not one of their funniest clips. So today, I try again!
1) We're a Family
I love this for the group dynamics and Paul's high note. And listen carefully for Richard's complaint about crumbs in the bed!
2) Commies For Christ
Surreal and hilarious.
3) Kiss Me You Fool
Audience participation, DAAS style! And the song is brilliant.
4) Kylie and Jason
Paul's perfect evening out with Kylie Minogue (mostly known at the time as a soap star with a "girl next door" image) and her Neighbours costar Jason Donovan. Incredibly raunchy but, unlike a lot of DAAS stuff, without (much of) a cruel streak.
5) I Heard It Through the Grapevine
Not comedy; they do the song straight, and it's gorgeous.
