The teaser trailer for Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's new film Paul is finally out:

Oh, I hope this film doesn't suck. I'm sure Nick and Simon will be awesome, but Paul-the-alien managed to annoy the hell out of me after five seconds onscreen. Basically I'm worried that the film will be too American; I find most American comedy painfully unfunny.

Well if it helps at all, it was written by Nick and Simon. So in theory the script is British humour. But the director is American, so... *shrug* I dunno.

Yeah, I knew it was written by Nick and Simon, so I'm trying to hope for the best. I just fear a recurrence of Run, Fat Boy, Run, which unsuccessfully tried to mix British-style and American-style humor.

I did laugh at the last line, but that alien is cheesy as all get-out, and based on the preview, I can't imagine sitting through a whole movie with him.
