Question for UK folks: what's a brand of decent quality supermarket tea bags? Something that a person1 who is a bit of a tea obsessive (the water must be boiling! really properly boiling!) but has a strong aversion to tea snobbery might buy?

The answer is always Waitrose. Though you can get Twinings I. virtually every supermarket and I've never known anyone complain.

Seconding the vote for Twinings. Or if they're from Yorkshire, Yorkshire Tea.

Yorkshire Tea or Twinings!

If they really are strongly averse to tea snobbery they might take a perverse pride in PG Tips?

Twinings is probably about right. Though Whittards also sells very high-end tea.
