the joys of a Santa Fe spring

Yesterday it snowed off and on all day, but the snow didn't stick. Here's what I woke up to this morning.

A bit extreme, I feel. Temperatures are expected to rise back to normal within a couple of days, but in the meantime, I'm confused, and I imagine so are all the animals and plants.

That seems a lot to me! I hear from lots of others in the northern hemisphere that they've had unseasonal snow or very cold weather too.

Our winter was pretty normal, I think, until March when we got into this cycle of unseasonably warm and then unseasonably cold.

Our summer, all over the country, was dreadful: cold and very wet with occasional cyclones (hurricanes to you). I'm hoping for a normal winter like the last one here: dry and sunny.
