30 days of Doctor Who

Day 12 – Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
Today is Big Finish Day! The first 50 Big Finish audios are on sale for £5 each (in U.S. prices, $7.52 plus $2.30 shipping for a CD or $5 for a handy download).
I haven't listened to a lot of these audios, but it definitely tickles my fancy to recommend #02, "Phantasmagoria." It's my favorite of the Five-and-Turlough Big Finish stories, and I have heard all of those. I much prefer it to the more widely recced "Loups Garoux," which I found preachy and sexually-creepy-in-a-bad-way. I've got a brief, nonspoilery review of those two and a few other audios here.
While you're at Big Finish, be sure to get your free download of the first episode of "Cobwebs," which starts a new series featuring Five, Nyssa, Tegan, and Turlough. I haven't listened to it yet, but the prospect of all four of them together in a new story is wonderful.
Day 13 – Your Favorite Villain
The Master, of course. Especially when played by Roger Delgado.
Day 14 – The Villain Who Scared You the Most
I seldom find Doctor Who all that scary (and I'm easily scared). But the two-faced automaton judge things in "The Beast Below" utterly freaked me out and were the highlight of an otherwise disappointing episode.
