I've seen all of S3 except 3x22, which I'll be watching later today (I just don't have it yet).

I've just watched 3x08, "Endgame." 3x09, "The Crossing." I am not pleased.

(ETA: I got confused about the episode number. This episode was actually written by Denise Thé.)

major spoilers )

I've now seen POI 3x06, "Mors Praematura," which is the first good episode of this season. click here )

I've watched the first two episodes of S3, and I have to say, I miss the old dynamic. Only spoilery for character dynamic/casting )

This post covers three episodes to finish off the ginormous mid-season plot.

Episode summaries under the cut. My comments and further discussion will be on DreamWidth, because I'm having trouble getting LJ to load.

As always, anyone is welcome to join the discussion, but please, no spoilers for anything after the episodes discussed here.

A change in my work schedule means that I'll have to be at work at 6 am every day now. Except for the one day a week when I'll work 2-10 pm. Yeah, this is gonna be awesome.

So, have a very early POI discussion post for "Critical" and "Til Death." As always, anyone's welcome to join in, but please, no spoilers for developments after the episodes we're talking about.

Episode summaries under the cut, discussion in comments. (Note: my comments and probably most of the discussion will be on DW; I'm having connectivity problems and DW loads a lot better for me right now.)

Normally I hate spoilers and go to great lengths to avoid them. But I've just watched POI 2x08, "Til Death," spoilers for this episode, with more spoilers eventually in comments )

ETA: Answered, thanks!

I'm rewatching season 1 because I feel like I missed a lot of details, and spoilery for the second episode )

ETA: Comments on DW contain spoilers for late S1. Also, I've only seen through 2x05, so please, no spoilers beyond that point? I know my POI posts contain a lot of floundering around and speculation and "but that doesn't make sense!" but I am trying to avoid spoilers entirely. Thanks!

The watchalong continues. Anyone's welcome to join in, but please no spoilers past this episode. Most of the discussion will probably be on the LJ mirror of this post.

[livejournal.com profile] halotolerant and I are watching S2 of Person of Interest together-ish and talking about it. We're taking turns making discussion posts for each episode. Anyone who wants to join in is welcome, but PLEASE no spoilers (not even hints) past the episode we're discussing.

I finished season 1 tonight.

Oh, one last thing. Those of you who have POI icons, where did you get them? I want one.

I just watched 1x18, "Identity Crisis," and spoilers )

A quick note, as I must be off to work soon.

Person of Interest 1x16, "Risk," opens with a shot of not spoilery in any meaningful sense, but cut anyway )

I'd been enjoying it already, but with these episodes the show suddenly got much better. The plots and dialogue are sharper, the characterization deeper, the stakes higher.

Discussion, with spoilers, under the cut )

It's interesting that 1x07 of POI uses Nina Simone's "Sinnerman" months before it was used in a similar context in Sherlock. Wikipedia tells me it's been used in every other TV series ever as well, but I either hadn't heard it or hadn't noticed it before Sherlock. So I had thought it was a brilliant, creative choice from Moffat and co. Not so much, it would seem.

Incidentally, the Mycroft Holmes icon I'm using on this post has been drafted to stand in for Finch as well. They are not unalike. *has visions of crossover voyeuristic-genius-shipping*
kindkit: Sherlock Holmes, with overlaid computer screen text: no access (Sherlock: no access)
I've watched the first four episodes of Person of Interest. I'm liking it so far--it's not badly written and its sympathies are in the right place--though I'm looking forward to it acquiring more depth. I like Finch as much as I hoped I would, which is nice, and I also really like Carter the homicide detective. Reese, on the other hand, is as expressive as a plank of wood and just about as engaging. Occasionally the scripts turn Caviezel's one-note-ness and his absurd Christian-Bale-as-Batman growl into an advantage, as in his conversation with the bad guy at the end of 1x04, but overall I would like the show to have less Reese and more Finch, please.

On the other hand, I can't help thinking that the backstory I can imagine for Finch at this stage is probably 200% more interesting than what canon will eventually give him (and, not coincidentally, 200% less heterosexual). I almost want to stop and not know more. Not that this is preventing me from eagerly awaiting the next episodes, although those won't arrive from *sigh* Netflix until Wednesday.

Discussion welcome if it's possible on the basis of so few episodes, but please no spoilers past 1x04.
