Warehouse 13 has just introduced a gay character into its main cast. This is pretty rare for a genre show in the US, where if there are queer characters at all they're usually far in the background. Plus, the show handled it well--the character's gayness wasn't made a big deal of, much less the subject of a Very Special Episode. And he's a good character, not in any way a stereotype, whom I already liked.

Now, let's just hope he's not killed off or otherwise gotten rid of. *fingers crossed*

I like him very much - he's professional, and he manages his power in interesting ways, and I think he's a really good fit for the team.

I was spoiled that the new character was gay, but I was really happy with the way it was brought into the story. No big deal, and it just passed by, and there it is. I have no idea if he's a permanent addition to the cast - he's still listed as 'guest star' in the credits. But I hope so, because he hits my competency kink hard.

Oh, dear, I didn't look at the credits. But the show seems to be integrating him in a way it never really integrated H G Wells, so hopefully he's here for the duration and isn't going to be tragically killed or something six episodes from now.
